Condensing technology or designs are in all modern boilers. They are 80-90% more efficient than older boilers without condensing. If your old boiler has broken down, and you are considering either boiler repair or replacement for your boiler problem emergency, then consider us for your needs.

What is a condensing boiler?

Condensing boilers are a simple design. They simply take the heat gases that would otherwise be expelled from the boiler, condense them inside the boiler to then use the heat to warm up the cool water entering into the boiler. Up to 30% of the heat generated by the boiler would be lost if it were not for condensing. This allows the water to be heated up to the right temperature very quickly. Any boilers that aren’t condensing versions are more than likely to be pre-2005 when condensing boilers were mandated in England and Wales.

Combi boilers?

All modern combi boilers use condensing technology. Although the average combi boiler has 20kW power for the central heating, the condensing technology helps to rapidly heat up an average family home. Not to mention, with 30kW for the hot water, condensing technology means you can have enough hot water for the whole family to shower in the morning, in 30-45 minutes.
